How to Sign up & when/how to pay

Post by Regandy on Thu Apr 10, 2008 7:15 pm

First -- you need $100 for a deposit. That is actually $50 per person, but it takes 2 of you to reserve the cabin. IF you do not know who you will be rooming with you have a decision to make. Do you want to go ahead and reserve the cabin and have them pay you back? OR do you want to find someone FIRST and then register so that the payments are totally separate?

Second -- You MUST use a credit or debit card. The next payments are automatically charged on this card on the dates given. You will be given the option of using a a different card from your cabin mate.

REGISTRATION LINK - CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP

Third -- I will be sent a notification of your registration. I will then send you a confirmation letter for you to SAVE. It will have your booking # on it. IF YOU DO NOT GET ONE WITHIN 72 HOURS OF REGISTERING, please email me. Sometimes it accidently gets sent to my "bulk" mail and I delete it. Please ask for another one -- I do not mind!!!

NOW... if you suddenly see that things have changed and you cannot go, DO NOT WORRY, all the money is refundable *with some exceptions. See the exact wording of the refund rules on the sign-up page. I think it is 30 days before we sail.... unless you have insurance, etc.

We have been getting a lot of "looks" and I'm hoping we have a great turn-out. Don't hesitate if you have any questions about any part of it.

Looking forward to getting on the sea again!!

Payment questions

Post by brandy on Fri May 15, 2009 3:05 am

When does the deposit have to be made by? And how much is each installment that comes out of our credit card?

August 3rd will be a $400 deposit for the cabin (which is $200 per person)

Then the final payment will be December 1st -- which is the balance due -- $742 - $400 = $342 (and change).

This includes ALL taxes & ports fees.

We usually get a $50-$75 ON-BOARD credit which covers the tip. In other words, they usually rebate us back some money. Carnival charges $50 on your bill for a tip -- so it offsets each other.

Okay, so where does the $100 deposit come into play, and when does it need to be paid?

Brandy - HI!!!!

The $100 deposit was due May 1st - so that $50 deposit per person has passed. Now deposits are $200 per person with a final payment on December 1st....which is the balance due "$742 - $200 = $342 (and change)"

Becky,

Is the below the right web site to get pictures and itinerary for the cruise. I was there, but did not see a March 1 2010 sailing date.

Fallwalker - hopefully you have received copies of the latest emails going out today from Becky. It was necessary to change the sailing to March 6, 2010. Carnival bumped us from the March 1st sailing.....

We are on the same ship, same port, etc...just a different date leaving...and instead of Key West as a stop - we will be stopping at Half Moon Cay.

Thanks, does not matter, I was just looking at the ship, shore excursions, etc. Glad to know though, thought I was at the wrong place.

Ok, I'm a little confused about the payment schedule. So I've paid $100 so far. How much will I need to pay August 5th? I thought I could find the payment schedule on my registration page, but I can't.

Since you have already paid $100 -- your deposit on August the 5th will be $300 (for the cabin / $150 per person).

We are just trying to make sure that the ones that have NOT signed up understand that THEY will pay $400.

I guess I came across this Low-Carb cruise to late and will not be able to make it this time, but I would like to continue to watch the progress and see how things go for all of you. Hopefully some of you can post some travel pics. Very Happy
